Evangelos Eleftheriou was born and raised in Athens. He is a Photography BA (Hons) graduate from the University of Plymouth, in UK and he also has a degree in Journalism from the “Ergastiri” (Εργαστήρι Επαγγελματικής Δημοσιογραφίας), in Greece.

In June 2014, he represented the University of Plymouth (Faculty of Arts) in Bristol’s Book Exhibition, with his photography album, “Holy Divine” based on the “Greek Orthodox Church and Community of Saints Dimitrios and Nikitas” in Plymouth . Since then, he has been a freelance photographer in UK and Greece, as well as a TV journalist and editor in his home country.

During the 2021-2023 time period, he will undertake a Masters Degree in “Quality Journalism and New Technologies” in the European Communication Institute.

Evangelos approaches Photography as a vehicle for research, investigation, visual communication and a form of visual sociology. His photographic practice focuses upon culture and collective identity, expressed through ethnic, social and spatial contexts.
